This past week, Ezras Israel was the site of an exciting and inclusive Shabbaton with Yachad seniors and alumni. From Friday's special oneg, to a delicious kiddush and lunch Shabbat afternoon, to the signature Yachad-style Havdallah, it was a fun and friend-filled weekend with Ezras Israel and Yachad!

Rabbi Asher Dordek delivers weekly thought-provoking shiurim in Midrash at Congregation Ezras Israel and is the weekly Torah reader at the Young Israel of West Rogers Park. Rabbi Dordek is an advocate for Jewish literacy and education. He is always available and excited to teach Bar Mitzvah lessons as well as Torah tutoring for all ages. Professionally, he is the E-commerce manager at Namaste Laboratories. Rabbi Dordek received his Semicha from Yeshiva University's Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and earned his M.A. in Rabbinic literature from the Bernard Revel Graduate School for Jewish Studies. Asher lives in Chicago with his wife Brooke and their two children, Menucha and Ezra.
